No matter how clean the plumbing is on the outside, it is often difficult to get rid of a persistent unpleasant smell in the toilet.
Let's figure out why this happens and how to deal with it.
Causes of bad odor
The thing is that the source of the stench may not only be the most obvious place, that is, the toilet itself.
It only takes one unnoticed spot under the toilet lid or where the hinges connect to make it seem like the toilet is dirty.
The same applies to various porous materials that absorb odors very well, such as bath mats, toilet paper, etc.
However, there are effective remedies that will help you get rid of the smell in the toilet.
The first miracle cure is vinegar. It is mixed in a 1:1 ratio with water, then applied to the plumbing and washed off after 5 minutes.
The second stage is cleaning with soda. Sprinkle the powder generously on the tiles, especially around the toilet, and leave overnight. The next day, sweep up or vacuum up the remaining soda.
For greater effectiveness, it is recommended to carry out such cleaning at least once a week.
