Sooner or later, due to frequent use of the iron, carbon deposits appear on its sole.
And this, in turn, is fraught with the appearance of stains on clothes.
Let's figure out how to quickly and inexpensively clean your iron from carbon deposits.
How to clean the soleplate of an iron
The first remedy that comes to the aid of the housewife is hydrogen peroxide. It is enough to simply wipe the sole with a 3% solution to achieve shine.
The second miracle cure is vinegar. And if simply wiping with acid does not help, apply it to a rag, cover the sole of the household appliance with it and leave for several hours.
Regular table salt and soda work well to remove carbon deposits. Just keep in mind: it is not recommended to rub the Teflon sole with these powders directly, as they can scratch it.
You will also need nail polish remover. Apply it to a cotton pad and wipe the sole with the product. Avoid getting it on the plastic parts of the product so as not to damage them.
