Not all types of cookware are equally good for cooking.
Moreover, this concerns, first of all, the rather popular aluminum utensils, which are probably found in every kitchen.
Let's figure out why it is impossible not only to store, but also to cook certain types of dishes in such dishes.
The harm of aluminum cookware
You probably know that aluminum utensils can darken, especially when interacting with acidic foods. This reaction can also change the taste of the food.
That is why it is forbidden to cook borscht, tomato soups, cabbage soup, jam and compotes in aluminum cookware, as well as to boil milk and prepare marinades. For the same reason, these dishes cannot be stored in this cookware.
However, this restriction only applies to dishes made from tomatoes and other sour vegetables and fruits. So you can safely use aluminum cookware for cooking jellied meat, boiling pasta and potatoes, and eggs.
