When spring comes, many people think about washing their coats.
However, a coat can be made from a variety of materials.
Therefore, it is worth considering several washing tips, based on the material from which it is made.
Wool
A wool coat requires gentle care. It is best to hand wash it in cold water using a mild detergent for wool.
It is not recommended to wring or rub a wool coat to avoid deformation.
In this case, it is permissible to dry it only horizontally; sunlight should be avoided, as this can have ambiguous consequences.
Cashmere
A cashmere coat requires special attention. Hand washing or gentle washing in cold water is the best choice.
Avoid using detergents with bleach or harsh chemicals. Gently squeeze out moisture and dry flat.
Nylon
Nylon coats are usually machine washable, preferably on a gentle cycle with cold water.
However, when washing it, special attention should be paid to the manufacturer's recommendations, as it can be damaged quite easily.
Polyester
Polyester coats can often be machine washed on a delicate cycle.
It is better to use a mild detergent and cold water. Dry in the fresh air, avoiding direct sunlight.
Cotton
Cotton coats can be machine washed on a normal cycle with water temperature up to 30 degrees.
After washing, you can iron your coat at a low temperature to restore its shape.
Semi-wool blends
Coats made from semi-wool blends, such as wool and acrylic, are best washed by hand or on a delicate cycle in the machine.
However, it is worth remembering that the washing technology may differ significantly, so you should first read the manufacturer's instructions.
