Clothes in black and white tones are classics that are always relevant and never lose their popularity.
The contrasting combination of these colors looks stylish and elegant.
However, washing such items can be a real challenge. How to achieve perfect cleanliness without risking damage to the clothes?
Divide and conquer
The first and most important rule is to never wash black and white items together. Even if it seems that black fabric does not fade, the risk of staining white items remains high.
Temperature conditions
Pay attention to the care instructions on the garment label. White items are usually washed at a higher temperature than black items.
Hot water helps to effectively remove dirt and preserve the whiteness of the fabric. Black items, on the contrary, are best washed at a temperature no higher than 30 degrees to avoid fading.
Choosing a Detergent
The right choice of detergent plays a decisive role in preserving the color and quality of the fabric. Powders with bleaching components are suitable for white items.
Black items require a more delicate approach. Use liquid detergents for washing black clothes, which prevent fading and preserve the color saturation.
Color Traps
There are special color trapping sheets that are added to the drum of the washing machine. They absorb the dye that comes out of the fabric during washing, preventing it from staining other items.
Vinegar to the rescue
Regular table vinegar is an indispensable assistant in the fight against coloring. Add half a glass of vinegar to the conditioner compartment when washing black items. Vinegar fixes the color and prevents it from washing out.
Drying in the open air
Dry black and white items in the open air, avoiding direct sunlight. The sun can cause black fabric to fade and white items to turn yellow.
