Blockages in the kitchen and toilet are a phenomenon that we inevitably encounter.
No matter how carefully we handle the plumbing system, sooner or later the water stops flowing.
Let's figure out how to eliminate a blockage yourself, without resorting to aggressive chemicals and expensive services of specialists.
Effective folk remedies
One of the most effective combinations of products that you always have on hand is a combination of vinegar and baking soda.
To do this, pour 150 grams of powder into the drain hole, then pour in the same amount of vinegar. If the blockage is severe, you can safely increase the dosage by 2 times.
To allow the mixture to penetrate deeper, close the drain hole.
After 10-15 minutes of this procedure, open the tap and check if the blockage has been eliminated. Repeat the procedure until the water starts flowing freely.
The second effective remedy is citric acid. Boil 1 liter of water and add 40 grams of powder (1-2 bags), pour in the solution.
Take note: if you have metal pipes, you can pour boiling water, but if the pipes are plastic, you need to wait a little until the water with citric acid cools to 70-80 degrees.
Wait 10-20 minutes. If the blockage is still not cleared, repeat the procedure.
