White circles and cup marks on the table are a common problem that many people face.

Regardless of the type of countertop material, be it wood, glass, plastic or laminate, these unsightly marks spoil the appearance of the surface and create an impression of untidiness.

Fortunately, there are many ways to solve this problem using both special cleaning products and improvised materials.

Baking soda

Regular baking soda becomes a real savior when it comes to fighting various stains, including marks from cups.

To create an effective cleaning paste, you need to combine baking soda with a small amount of water, achieving a consistency reminiscent of thick sour cream.

Then this paste is applied to the problem area, allowed to act for a while, after which it is carefully removed with a soft cloth and the remains are washed off with a damp sponge.

Soda has a mild abrasive effect, which allows you to gently remove dirt without damaging the surface.

Toothpaste

Toothpaste, especially whitening toothpaste, is effective in removing cup stains.

Apply a small amount of paste to the stain, rub with a soft cloth or sponge and leave for a few minutes. Then wash off the remaining paste with a damp sponge.

It is important to use white toothpaste to avoid the appearance of colored streaks on the surface.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice is a natural product that has a whitening and cleaning effect. To remove stains from cups, cut the lemon in half and rub the stain with the cut side.

The acid contained in lemon juice helps to dissolve dirt and restore the surface to its original appearance.

After treating with lemon juice, the surface should be wiped with a damp sponge and wiped dry.

Vinegar

Vinegar is another effective remedy for dealing with stubborn stains, including cup marks.

To prepare a cleaning solution, mix vinegar and water in equal proportions.

Wipe the stain with the resulting solution, leave for a few minutes, then wash off the residue with a damp sponge.

Vinegar has disinfectant properties, which allows you to not only remove dirt, but also kill bacteria.

Vegetable oil

Vegetable oil will help to deal with traces of cups on polished wooden surfaces. Apply a small amount of oil to a soft cloth and gently wipe the stain.

The oil fills microcracks and scratches, making the surface smoother and shinier. After oiling, the surface should be polished with a dry cloth.

Prophylactic

To avoid marks from cups, it is recommended to use coasters for hot drinks.

The coasters will protect the table surface from high temperatures and prevent the formation of white circles and stains.

It is also important to regularly wipe the table with a damp cloth to remove dust and prevent dirt from building up.
