Check the doors and windows

Make sure everything is tightly closed, and if you have the opportunity, use blinds, roller shutters. Try to make sure your valuables are not visible from the outside.

Don't let your home look like easy prey for burglars. Despite appearances, thieves can be effectively discouraged.
The first step, of course, is to arm the alarm. Modern smart home solutions allow you to integrate it with your smartphone so you can regularly monitor the situation.
The system may also include cameras, the appearance of which should significantly disrupt the plans of robbers (although this seems absurd, sometimes only dummy devices are enough).
Home lighting works in a similar way, making thieves doubt whether the property is truly abandoned.
It is also worth trying the presence simulation function - a mechanism that can temporarily turn on and off lights, a TV or a radio in the apartment.
Remember that burglary is rarely a spontaneous decision by a thief. Usually, preparation for the task takes a lot of time, including following patterns and drawing up a detailed plan of action.
So don't make his job easier by, for example, confirming your absence by bragging about your vacation on social media.
