If your carpet has wax or animal droppings on it, traditional cleaning is unlikely to help.
How to remove stains
1. Animal urine. It is better to try to remove such a stain immediately. To do this, you need to blot it with a dry paper towel.
It is even better to sprinkle the area with litter. After the moisture has been absorbed, remove the granules. You can use a vacuum cleaner.
Now you need to eliminate the unpleasant smell. The following composition will do:
- 1 part vinegar;
- 3 parts water;
- wet the place where the urine was and wait until it dries;
- apply soda to the area and wait a few hours;
- Rinse with water and dry.
Anything left can be vacuumed up.
If necessary, you can repeat it several times.
2. Remove the gum. The best solution to the problem is to freeze the lump. To do this, you will need ice cubes. They should be placed in a bag and put on the place where the gum is stuck. After some time, remove and scrape off the gum with a knife.
After the lump has been removed, you need to wash the area with soap and water.
3. Blood. Fresh stains are easily removed with cold water. To do this, pour it into a spray bottle and spray it on the stain. Blot it with a clean cloth, moving from the edge to the center. If necessary, repeat the procedure several times. Then dry the surface of the carpet and vacuum it.
If this fails, try the following:
- salt. Mix it with water to make a paste;
- apply the product to the stain and wait five minutes;
- wipe with a cloth;
After the procedure, the carpet should be vacuumed.
4. Cleaning from wax. You need to wait until the wax hardens. Then, using a knife, remove the main part of it.
If there are crumbs left, they can be removed with a vacuum cleaner. Then, using an iron, on the steaming mode, remove the wax residue. To do this, cover the stain with a paper or linen towel and iron it. Repeat the process as many times as necessary.
5. Tea or coffee. The easiest way to remove such stains is with a soap solution. If this does not help, the following will help: dilute 1 tbsp. of glycerin in 1 liter of warm water. Apply the mixture to the stained area and leave overnight. In the morning, wipe the stain with water and vacuum.
6. Dirt from shoes. It is better to dry it first, then remove the bumps with a vacuum cleaner. And wash the remaining traces with a soap solution.
As you can see, getting rid of carpet stains is quite simple. You just need to follow a few rules.
