There are many options for cosmetic finishing materials for floors today.

Among them are laminate, wood, paint, varnishes and, of course, linoleum, familiar to many, about extending the service life and preserving the qualities of which we will talk.

Linoleum is a practical material, it is easy to clean from dirt and dust, but at the same time its smooth surface makes even the smallest marks visible.

The marks left by the rubber soles of shoes are especially noticeable on it; many people do not know the rules for cleaning them and do it using a razor blade and other sharp objects.

Without having special cleaning products for linoleum on hand, you can clean it from the stripes left by the rubber sole using an ordinary eraser, which is probably found in every home.

However, if chewing gum or other sticky material has been on the surface of the linoleum, then an eraser alone will definitely not be enough to remove it.

Today, there are many chemical cleaning products for linoleum that extend its service life and make its appearance the same as it was at the time of purchase.

But since our goal is folk remedies for linoleum care, then as an option we can recommend salt-free water, which is obtained by boiling potatoes in tap water.

Alcohol and petrol mixtures are highly undesirable to use for cleaning linoleum, as there is a high probability that they will leave permanent marks on its surface.

Also, it is not recommended to use detergents with high acidity and high alkali content for linoleum.

They also eat into its surface and spoil the appearance of linoleum. Of the popular highly effective cleaning agents for linoleum, turpentine can also be recommended. However, it is better to use it in case of extreme necessity.

A simple sponge or soft brush, as well as a regular rag, can serve as a tool for cleaning linoleum. Whether to apply the cleaning agent to the floor or to the inventory is determined by its composition and the degree of contamination of the floor covered with linoleum.

After cleaning linoleum with detergents or an eraser, it should be washed with ordinary clean water to remove any chemical residues from the surface. You can also add aromatic substances to the water, the spectrum of which is virtually limitless today.
