Beetroot juice is very corrosive, so sometimes it is not so easy to wash it off from a particular surface.
An example is a cutting board. As soon as you cut beets on it, you have to deal with stains. As a bonus, juice sometimes gets not only on the board, but also on the countertop.
In this case, sunflower or any other vegetable oil will help.
You just need to apply a few drops to the dirty surface and then wipe with a cotton pad.
There will be no trace of beet juice left. After the oil, the surface can be treated with a soap solution to remove the grease.
There is another option. An effective remedy for beet stains is citric acid.
It is used together with a detergent. You need to mix the two components to make a paste.
You need to wash the cutting board with this mixture and then rinse it with water.
