A tape measure is a simple tool, the basic function of which is clear even to a child.
But any construction tool can be upgraded or used to solve non-standard problems. And the tape measure is no exception.
The tape measure body can be used for notes. All you need to do is stick a small piece of masking tape and change it as it fills up.
You can draw a circle with this tool. You will need a screw, a pencil, and a tape measure hook.
First, you need to screw a screw into the center of the circle and attach a pencil to the tape measure body. Then, you should fix the tape measure with a hook and a screw and draw a circle.
This method allows you to draw a circle with an error of no more than 1-2 mm. But it is more convenient, of course, when the hook has a hole with which you can firmly hook onto the screw head.
Where there is a ruler, there are almost always notches. A pencil is no longer needed if you modernize the toe a little. You only need to make a few sharp notches on the toe with a file.
When measuring an opening, it is quite difficult to get to the corner. And you can get an accurate result without bending the tape.
To do this, apply the tape measure body to the wall and pull the tape to the next edge. Add the length of the tape measure body to the result. It is indicated on it, for example, 70 mm.
