Cleaning your iron does not always produce the results you expect.
However, there are simple life hacks that will make your household appliance shine again.
We'll tell you how to restore shine to the sole of your iron using regular mineral water.
How to clean the soleplate of an iron
Over time, any iron, even the most expensive and ultra-modern one, will develop carbon deposits.
To get rid of it, you only need regular mineral water. The main condition is that the drink is highly carbonated.
You need to do the following: Take a basin over which you should carry out the cleaning, since softened lime will flow out of the holes after the procedure.
Fill the iron reservoir with mineral water to the upper mark, select a high temperature mode and steam function.
After the liquid boils inside the iron, the scale will gradually begin to disappear from the surface of the device. It is recommended to repeat this procedure at least three times to completely get rid of the carbon deposits.
If you don’t have mineral water at home, use citric acid.
The principle of action is the same. Dissolve a packet of citric acid in a glass of warm water and pour it into the reservoir, and then do everything according to the scheme above.
