The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Khanty-Mansiysk District reported that the bodies of two children were found on the Maly Yugan River in Yugra.
It is emphasized that the minors, born in 2022 and 2023, were previously listed as missing.
The police emphasize: “The children were listed in a group of seven representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North,” as reported by TASS .
On August 8, the above-mentioned group crossed the Maly Yugan River in a motorboat, moving to the camp.
Details of the incident
As law enforcement officials found out, the travelers did not reach their destination.
During the investigation and search and rescue operations it became known that the boat had capsized. On August 9, the police found the woman's body.
Some time later, law enforcement officers also found the lifeless bodies of the two aforementioned children.
A visual examination of the deceased revealed no signs of violent death. The police are establishing all the circumstances of this incident.
