The trawler Peterhead has pulled a piece of its fuselage ashore at Greenhead Air Base in Lerwick, Scotland.
Police have confirmed that human remains have been found in the wreckage of the small plane.
The aircraft's undercarriage was pulled out of the water by the Benarkle II while fishing on Sunday, a Shetland News article highlights.
The discovery is said to be linked to the disappearance of a German Cessna plane last September.
The crash investigation report said the last radar contact with the plane was 70 nautical miles off the Shetland Islands.
Police said they had received a report that a small plane had been pulled from the waters of the North Sea.
Parts of the aircraft were brought to shore on Sunday, December 8. Human remains were found inside.
