Three suspects in theft of equipment worth 3 billion rubles detained in Crimea

The trio stole equipment worth billions of rubles and were charged with the crime.

The incident occurred in Kerch, reported the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

The defendants attempted to steal equipment from a cement plant. The equipment is estimated to be worth 3 billion rubles, MVD Media reports.

The enterprise is located on the territory of the Kerch seaport Kamysh-Burun. A commercial organization rented space here.

Three men tried to escape with stolen production equipment, but were detained. A criminal case was opened against them for theft.

The court remanded the perpetrators in custody. They could face up to 10 years in prison for the crime they committed.
