The ship that ran aground was traveling along the Valaam-Saint Petersburg route on Friday, August 2.
According to the agency, the incident occurred because the ship deviated from its route while in the area of Konevets Island.
There are 170 passengers on board the ship, as well as 47 people who are part of the crew.
According to preliminary data, there are no casualties among the people on board the ship. There was also no water leakage in the hull or oil spill on the water.
The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident. The reasons for the deviation from the course that led to the incident remain unknown.
