The head of the Republic of Dagestan reported an increase in the number of victims of terrorist attacks in the region.
On Monday, July 1, Sergei Melikov reported that 22 people were killed as a result of the militants’ attack.
The head of the region announced this at a meeting with representatives of civil society institutions in Makhachkala, TASS reports.
As a result of the incidents that occurred on June 23, 22 people died – 21 directly during the terrorist attacks, and another police officer died the following day.
He was seriously injured. Doctors fought for the patient's life, but he died on June 24.
A total of 17 police officers fell victim to the clashes with terrorists. The remaining 5 were civilians. More than 40 people were injured in the terrorist attacks.
One of the liquidated militants took part in the events that unfolded at the Makhachkala airport in late October 2023.
Then a crowd of people with Palestinian flags came to the airport to look for “refugees from Israel.”
Earlier, it was reported that searches were conducted at Nurmagomedov’s martial arts school due to the terrorist attack case.
