New details of the mass poisoning in the Omsk region have become known.
The number of people affected by unsanitary conditions has risen to 42.
RIA Novosti journalists learned about this from representatives of the press service of the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The mass food poisoning was first reported on December 18, 2024. Guests vacationing at the Skazka sanatorium, located in Chernoluchye, Omsk Region, began to feel unwell.
According to initial data, 35 people, including children, sought medical attention with signs of food poisoning.
It is specified that as of December 25, the number of victims has grown to 42. As experts emphasized, the exact figure will be known after all the circumstances of the incident have been established.
It is noted that during the inspection by Rospotrebnadzor, norovirus was detected in five employees of the health facility, and other violations of sanitary standards were also found.
A criminal case has been opened on the incident under the article on the provision of services that do not meet the safety of people.
