The office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Urals Federal District Vladimir Yakushev reported that the most decorated military pilot of Russia, Igor Rodobolsky, has passed away.
As the plenipotentiary representative explained, at the time of his death the Hero of Russia was 64 years old.
It is emphasized that during his lifetime Rodobolsky participated in the education of the younger generation, and was also noticed in the implementation of educational and patriotic projects.
The official page of the Regional Center for Patriotic Education on the social network VKontakte reports the untimely death of the Russian military pilot.
The publication states: “Igor Olegovich’s passing was an irreparable loss.”
Tragic incident
Igor Rodobolsky took part in military operations in Afghanistan and the Chechen Republic in the mid-nineties.
In addition, the serviceman helped implement counter-terrorist operations in the North Caucasus in 1999.
The Hero of Russia also helped rescue civilians during the flood in Chechnya in 2002.
