The wreckage of the Mi-8T helicopter that went missing on August 31 was discovered by rescuers from the air.
According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry Telegram channel, the helicopter that went missing in Kamchatka crashed.
MI-8 was detected at an altitude of 900 meters near the place where it last made contact.
A search helicopter discovered the crashed plane, but was unable to land there.
Groups of emergency response workers are currently arriving at the scene of the tragedy.
There is no information yet about any survivors.
It was previously reported that there were 22 people on board the Mi-8T.
Sources reported that the route of the missing Mi-8 ran along the Bystraya River.
The helicopter crashed near one of the volcano's mountain ranges.
