New details have become known about the case in which the deputy chairman of the Khabarovsk government is involved.
Evgeny Nikonov, who was arrested in July, is suspected of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.
The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, made this statement in a conversation with RIA Novosti journalists.
As law enforcement officers found out, we are talking about a sum of 82 million rubles. This is how much Nikonov, together with other officials, received from the owner of the group of companies in the period from 2021 to 2023.
In exchange for money, the deputy chairman of the Khabarovsk Krai government facilitated the conclusion of government contracts for the supply of medical equipment.
It is noted that Nikonov does not admit his guilt in the crime he is accused of.
According to the defendant in the case, the security forces have already searched his home and that of his relatives. And the official himself, despite having a foreign passport, made no attempt to hide from the investigation.
