The incident occurred on the Olenyok River in the Olenyoksky District, according to the regional rescue service's Telegram channel.
On Sunday, November 3, a snowmobile was discovered that had fallen through the ice.
Further investigation showed that two local residents were riding the snowmobile. However, no people were found in the area of the emergency.
The rescue service clarified that the search for the driver and passenger is ongoing.
A local police officer went to the scene of the incident. He was assisted by three local residents.
