As a result of the erosion of the bridge between the locks of the White Sea-Baltic Canal in Karelia, 6 people are considered missing.

Three people were injured, the fate of six people is unknown when a dam washed out in Karelia.

According to emergency services, they are being searched for, but the search has not yielded any results yet. RIA Novosti reports this.

After the temporary bridge between the 10th and 11th locks of the White Sea-Baltic Canal was washed away, a state of emergency was declared in the district.

The isthmus was washed away between the 10th and 11th locks of the White Sea-Baltic Canal.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities in the district declared a state of emergency.

The temporary bridge that was installed during the reconstruction was suddenly washed away.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations forces arrived at the scene. The air ambulance was also put on alert.

Rescuers explained that there is a summer cottage community in the direction of the water flow.

Fire department units have arrived at the accident site, and additional rescue teams are being sent there.
