A criminal case was opened in Gelendzhik after a yacht was sunk. RIA Novosti reports the details with reference to the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
This incident occurred on July 7 during the daytime. The scene of the incident was the Black Sea waters within the city of Gelendzhik.
It is noted that on the specified day, yachting training was taking place, but soon the watercraft sank.
It is specified that the sunken vehicle was a sports sailing yacht MX700.
According to the department, one person, a female passenger, went missing as a result of the incident. Specialists are searching for her.
It was also noted that the number of people saved was four.
It is added that a criminal case has currently been opened under the article on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
