An emergency has been reported in the Republic of Dagestan.
Representatives of the security forces reported that special measures were being taken in Kaspiysk, a satellite city of Makhachkala, where a terrorist attack took place a month ago.
Information about the incident in Dagestan began to arrive on the evening of Thursday, July 25. RIA Novosti reports that security forces arrived at one of the residential buildings.
Residents were evacuated. However, security forces did not disclose details.
Meanwhile, the media and social networks report that unknown individuals have barricaded themselves in one of the apartments in the building.
The only official information is that a special event is being held in Kaspiysk with the participation of law enforcement officers.
TASS reports that security forces arrived after reports of an explosive device. Law enforcement officers are currently conducting an investigation. Residents were evacuated for safety reasons.
