New details have emerged about the attack by a schoolboy with a hammer in Irkutsk.
The teenager was hospitalized with minor injuries after the incident.
RIA Novosti journalists learned about this from a representative of the government press service for the Irkutsk region.
It is noted that two criminal cases were opened on the facts of the incident under articles on attempted murder and negligence.
Circumstances of the case
The incident in question took place in the village of Balagansk, where a local school student brought a hammer to school.
The teenager attacked his classmates, causing them minor injuries. The schoolchildren were given first aid and have already been sent home.
According to investigators, the physical education teacher was able to stop the attacking teenager.
The reason why the minor attacked his peers is being clarified. The attacker is currently in a medical facility; they planned to transfer him to a hospital in the city of Irkutsk.
