The press service of the Balakovo District Court of the Saratov Region reported this on the official website .
It is noted that the verdict was handed down on June 17, but the court’s press service only made it public today.
A Saratov resident was found guilty of violating the article on identifying the USSR with Nazi Germany. He was sentenced to pay a fine of 2,000 rubles.

As the investigation found out, the defendant posted provocative messages on the social network VKontakte.
In his publications, the Saratov resident stated that the Stalinist and Hitlerite regimes were similar in many ways, referring to the one-party structure of the USSR and Nazi Germany.
In this way, the convicted Danchenko M. identified the actions of the Soviet authorities with the decisions of Nazi Germany. And this, as the court emphasized, is a denial of the decisive role of the USSR in the fight against fascism.
