Russian Interior Ministry puts Frenchman Philippe Delpal on wanted list

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has put Frenchman Philippe Delpal on the wanted list.

He is a defendant in a case involving the embezzlement of 2.5 billion rubles from Vostochny Bank.

Philippe Delpal is wanted under the Criminal Code, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs database .

The article under which Delpal is wanted is not indicated in the wanted list card.

The document shows that Delpal is French. He was born on November 8, 1972, in Bourg-en-Bresse.

Criminal case

In August 2021, the Meshchansky Court of Moscow sentenced the founder of the Baring Vostok investment fund, Calvey, and his business partner, Philippe Delpal.

They received suspended sentences in the case of embezzlement of 2.5 billion rubles from Vostochny Bank.

Now Delpal's suspended sentence can be replaced with a real one, since the Tverskoy Court database contains material regarding him.

A Lipetsk machine tool builder who had previously left for Armenia was suspected of large-scale theft .
