Law enforcement officers in Kazakhstan have detained a Russian suspected of fraud. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan.
It is noted that the man and his accomplices contacted people by phone, posing as employees of banks and law enforcement agencies. They reported that the criminals wanted to take out loans in their names.
According to the press service, thanks to the scheme, the fraudsters obtained loans fraudulently.
They also noted that the police soon detained a Russian who managed to deceive three people.
It is added that a pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
