RF Investigative Committee: Suspect in girl's murder in Nizhny Tagil had previous convictions

New details have become known about the fate of a girl who went missing and was found dead in Nizhny Tagil.

A man who had a previous conviction is suspected of murdering a minor.

This information was shared with RIA Novosti journalists by Alexander Sapegin, who holds the post of head of the 3rd department for the investigation of especially important cases of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sverdlovsk Region.

Earlier it was reported that in Nizhny Tagil, more than 140 police officers and volunteers from the charitable organization "LizaAlert" spent 4 days searching in vain for an 11-year-old girl who went for a walk on August 31 and did not return.

As a result, the child's body, on which traces of violent death were found, was discovered in the basement of one of the residential buildings.

The suspect in the murder of a minor unsuccessfully tried to hide the traces of the crime and went to Moscow with the intention of leaving the country. He was detained and sent back to the Sverdlovsk region.

It is noted that the suspect, born in 1984, has a criminal record. He was found guilty of crimes against sexual freedom, as well as someone else's property.
