48-year-old human rights activist Alexei Suslikov was shot by his dacha neighbor.
For a month and a half, the police investigated the disappearance of a public figure from Saratov.
It is now known for certain that Suslikov was killed, RIA Novosti writes, citing a source in the security forces.
The human rights activist was shot by his dacha neighbor on the night of July 10-11. This happened during a conflict. Suslikov came to his neighbor asking him not to make noise.
The man died at the scene of the incident from his injuries. The shooter hid his body on his property, which is located on the territory of the SNT "Zerkalny Pond".
Now the killer is detained. He is giving a confession. The court has placed the young man under arrest.
In 2007, Suslikov survived an attack in the entrance of his own home. At the time, he linked the incident to the case of the "Decent Housing" project.
At that time, 57 residents of Saratov filed lawsuits in the amount of more than 40 million rubles.
That case was solved. The attackers were arrested and sentenced to prison terms.
