As law enforcement agencies found out, the incident with the attempted arson occurred on Saturday in the Vyborg district of St. Petersburg. A UAZ car belonging to the police department was parked there.
Two local residents attempted to set the vehicle on fire.
According to preliminary data, the pensioners committed the crime against their will.
Unknown persons contacted the suspects by phone and forced them to commit the crime.
