A participant in a TV show on Channel One received 15 years in prison.
Details of the high-profile case were reported on the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the LPR.
The 37-year-old man will be sent to a maximum security penal colony for 15 years.
He received this sentence for the crimes he committed on August 9, 2014 in the LPR.
Then a native of the Rostov region, together with an acquaintance, found themselves in the Lugansk region and tried to get to Krasnodon, but got lost.
On the way they met two men. They saw valuable things on one of them and decided to take them for themselves.
The attackers forced the passersby into the car and took them to the forest. There, the suspect took away the valuables by force, then shot the kidnapped man several times and hid his body.
After the incident, the man hid from justice for almost 10 years and even took part in the show “Let's Get Married!” in 2019.
At that time, the girl did not even suspect that a murderer was laying claim to her heart. But the participant made a choice in favor of another candidate.
The killer-kidnapper was detained only in May 2024 in Bataysk.
