An incident that occurred in Kamchatka has become known.

One and a half tons of a delicacy - red caviar - were stolen from the factory.

The incident was reported by RIA Novosti , citing information provided by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Kamchatka.

It is noted that the incident described occurred on November 3, but it only became known now.

Unknown persons broke into the company's warehouse where finished products were stored and stole one and a half tons of the delicacy.

The criminals have not yet been identified and are being sought. Law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal case under the article on theft on an especially large scale.

According to preliminary data, the cost of a kilogram of red caviar on the shelves of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky varies from 7 to 8.5 thousand rubles. The price depends on the type of fish from which the delicacy is obtained.

Consequently, the caviar stolen by the criminals could be valued at approximately 10.5 to 12.7 million rubles.
