In Nizhny Novgorod, one of the police officers is suspected of organizing illegal migration.
The deputy head of the police migration department and the director of a canned food company are named as suspects.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to information provided by the FSB.
Based on the violations identified, a criminal case was opened under the article on abuse of office and organization of illegal migration.
It is noted that the employee involved in this case was fired from the police.
Investigation materials
As the investigation revealed, the dismissed police officer entered into a criminal conspiracy with the director of the Echo company, the owner of the Beloruchka trademark, which produces pickles and canned goods.
This company hired illegal migrants, the fact of whose presence in Russia was hidden by a Novgorod police officer.
The investigation does not rule out that other persons may be involved in the aforementioned criminal scheme. The process of identifying the alleged accomplices is ongoing.
