In Dagestan, a man who killed his fellow villager has been sentenced.
The murder was committed out of jealousy, for which the accused received 6.5 years in prison.
This was reported on the official page of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Dagestan on the social network Vkontakte.
It is noted that the crime took place in the Tarumovsky district of Dagestan, where the case was heard.
The accused was found guilty of murder and received a sentence of 6 years and 6 months imprisonment to be served in a maximum security penal colony.
Circumstances of the case
The defendant committed the murder in September 2022. While driving through the village of Novogeorgievka, he noticed a man whom he suspected of having an intimate relationship with his ex-wife.
The defendant offered to give his friend a ride to Kizlyar. On the way, a conflict broke out between them, as a result of which the men got out of the vehicle.
A scuffle broke out between them, the jealous man grabbed a hidden knife and stabbed his opponent 13 times.
After the crime, he tried to take the man to the hospital, but he died on the way to the medical facility.
