A Russian woman with a US passport is suspected of treason.
The state prosecution requested 15 years in a general regime penal colony for Ksenia Karelina.
Her lawyer Mikhail Mushailov told journalists the details of the case after the hearing, TASS reports.
He said that the prosecutor's office is asking for 15 years for Karelina.
A native of Yekaterinburg and a citizen of the Russian Federation and the United States could end up behind bars for a long term.
She is accused of treason for transferring $51.8 million to an overseas fund in February 2022.
