Investigative Committee head Bastrykin asked to open a case against the chairman of the Moscow district court

The head of the Investigative Committee called for the chairman of the Solntsevsky District Court of Moscow to be held accountable.

The High Qualification Collegium of Judges (HQCJ) will consider the issue of initiating a criminal case of fraud against Artem Mateta.

Alexander Bastrykin insists on this. The HQCJ will discuss this issue on Wednesday, July 10, TASS reports.

It is known that they want to hold the chairman of the district court liable in a fraud case. But other details have not yet been disclosed.

Artem Igorevich Mateta was born in 1982. He has the 4th qualification class. Before that, he held the post of judge of the Moscow Regional Court.

Mateta has headed the Solntsevsky District Court since November 2021. He was appointed to this position by the corresponding decree of the President of Russia.

Earlier, Bastrykin outlined his position on the death penalty . The head of the Investigative Committee believes that the death penalty should be returned to Russia.
