The World Court in the Kirovsky District of Tomsk has sentenced a 41-year-old man who stole shoes from a stairwell.
The detainee reportedly stole four pairs of shoes. He had a previous conviction.
The court ruled: “To remand the accused in custody for 10 months,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
It is emphasized that the man will serve his sentence in a maximum security penal colony.

It is also reported that the defendant will be required to pay “property damages caused by the crime.”
As established by the authorized bodies, in January of this year, a previously convicted man stole four pairs of shoes from a stairwell.
The suspect changed his shoes when leaving the building. He threw away some of the stolen shoes and took the other part with him for resale.
The total damage from the actions of the attacker amounted to 4 thousand Russian rubles. The man was convicted under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
