The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Irkutsk Region reported that a two-year-old child drowned in a home pool in the region's Priangarye region.
It is emphasized that the girl, born in 2022, was left unattended, which ultimately led to the tragedy.
On its official website, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Irkutsk Region writes: “The incident in question was recorded on Thursday.”
It is explained that the child climbed a ladder onto the edge of the frame pool.
The girl then allegedly tripped and fell into the water, resulting in a tragic outcome.

The investigative bodies established that there were no eyewitnesses to the incident, and therefore no one came to the aid of the minor.
Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on the fact of causing death by negligence.
At the moment, the police are collecting all the evidence on this case. The situation is being monitored.
The regional prosecutor's office and employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs were also involved in the investigation.
