In St. Petersburg, a woman fell at the entrance to the metro and died in the hospital

A 39-year-old Russian woman died after an incident at the entrance to the Proletarskaya metro station in St. Petersburg.

Details were reported by the press service of the State Unitary Enterprise “Petersburg Metropolitan”.

The incident involving a woman born in 1985 occurred on December 18, RIA Novosti reports.

At the entrance to the metro, the Russian woman felt unwell, lost her balance, fell and hit her head.

Metro employees came to her aid and immediately called the medics. This happened at about 12:40.

The victim was hospitalized at the I. I. Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Care.

The woman died in hospital later that day, approximately four and a half hours later.

According to preliminary information, the cause of death was a ruptured aneurysm.

The patient was hospitalized with preliminary diagnoses of concussion and traumatic brain injury.

The woman managed to tell doctors that she had been hit by the front door.

Doctors tried to help the victim, but at 17:15 doctors declared the patient dead.

Videos published online show that no one pushed the Russian woman.
