Since June, 215 children have drowned in Russia. Details are reported by TASS , citing the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov.
It is noted that there is currently an increase in the number of deaths on the water. Among them are both adults and children.
According to Kurenkov, the total number of people killed on the water was 1,314.
He noted that in the summer people often go to water bodies, but not everyone remembers the safety rules on the water. For example, some citizens swim in unauthorized and unequipped places, go to the water while intoxicated and do not watch their children.
It is added that the number of people rescued was 358, including 88 children.
