A 3-year-old child died in a kindergarten as a result of an accident.
Details were reported on Monday, December 2, by the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor's office.
The incident occurred on the first day of the new week in a kindergarten located on Bogdanovich Street.
The deceased, along with other boys, went out for a daytime walk.
While playing, the boy caught his clothes on the slide and died of asphyxiation.
The prosecutor's office responded to the incident. They will collect all the information about the incident and give a legal assessment.
The Investigative Committee will also conduct an investigation as part of the criminal case.
Employees of preschool educational institutions may face criminal liability.
For now, law enforcement officers are questioning the kindergarten staff. A forensic medical examination has also been ordered.
