In Kursk, a mother left her three children alone in the house at night to sing karaoke.
The woman left her rented apartment, leaving her children, aged 11, 9 and 3, unattended.
While the children were sleeping, one of the electrical appliances caught fire, the Kursk Region Police Telegram channel reports.
The older child, who smelled smoke, woke up his brother and sister. The children ran out of the apartment and asked the neighbors for help.
Luckily, the children managed to get out, but the rented apartment burned down completely.
The woman returned home at around 7am, where she was met by police and firefighters.
It turned out that the Kursk resident had previously been held accountable for similar behavior.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the woman for improper performance of parental responsibilities.
The Russian woman will be on preventive monitoring, including systematic family monitoring.
