The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Magadan Region has released information that a local resident has been charged with torturing his stepson.
It is emphasized that the man physically harmed his 13-year-old adopted son and threatened to kill him.
The agency states: “The violations were committed between March 2023 and June 2024,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
It is emphasized that the said family, together with the torturer’s wife and her young child, live in the village of Ust-Omchug in the Tenkinsky District.
Investigation of the incident
It is also reported that the man abused his stepson out of personal animosity.
The investigation concluded: “The accused subjected the child to physical suffering, thereby causing him physical and psychological harm.”
The perpetrator also threatened to kill the minor in order to influence his testimony.
The defendant is accused of torturing a minor and threatening to kill. The investigation has chosen a preventive measure in the form of imprisonment.
