A Russian from Petrozavodsk saved a German citizen and his son, but died himself.

The incident took place in the Kaliningrad region. A tourist from Petrozavodsk was walking with his fiancée along the beach when he heard a scream.

It was later revealed that the person drowning was a German citizen who had come to the region on holiday together with his son, as reported by Komsomolskaya Pravda .

The Russian jumped into the sea and pulled out the drowning foreigners, but was unable to get out of the water himself.

Tragic incident

It is indicated that on the day the tragedy occurred, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations sent out messages about an approaching storm.

However, the German travellers disobeyed the emergency warning and decided to relax in the water.

As the bride of the deceased Russian later pointed out, the tourists from Germany rescued by her fiancé never contacted her.

It is emphasized that at the time of death the Russian citizen was 23 years old.
