They call Russians over 50 years old with an offer to fill out a form indicating personal data and their account, writes Prime, citing Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation Ivan Solovyov.
The scammers convince their victims that this is necessary to return the overpayment, which allegedly appeared on the day of the fiftieth anniversary.
The expert explained that the scammers also ask citizens to follow the link.
After this, the person loses their account and funds.
A lawyer urges Russians to remain vigilant in the event of calls from strangers.
The expert advises to carefully check the information by contacting the Housing and Utilities Department, the Social Fund and other government services directly.
