A Moscow court has issued a ruling on the case of former top managers of Russian Post.
Sergei Yemelchenkov and Andrei Sinichkin were sent to prison for abuse of power.
The press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow reported on the meeting and its results on its Telegram channel.
Both defendants were sentenced to a general regime penal colony. Yemelchenkov's sentence will be three and a half years, while Sinichkin will go to prison for three years.
In addition, they are deprived of the right to hold leadership positions in the structures of state and municipal enterprises.
For Yemelchenkov, the ban will be 2.5 years, and for Sinichkin – two.
The defendants were taken into custody in the courtroom.
They were tried for crimes committed between February and October 2018.
The defendants exceeded their official powers and caused damage to the state company in the amount of 1.58 billion rubles.
