RIA Novosti learned about this from representatives of the Russian Investigative Committee.

A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under the article on receiving bribes on an especially large scale.

Circumstances of the case

As the investigation revealed, the bribery extended over a period of ten years: the man received money between 2023 and 2023.

In total, the head of the commercial organization, which the defendant helped to conclude government contracts, provided him with approximately 60 million rubles.

In total, 15 contracts were concluded in this way.

It is noted that the former official has been detained and investigative actions are being carried out against him in order to consolidate the evidence base.

The investigation is petitioning for the former deputy minister to be remanded in custody.
